Mullins offers a bolt-in power steering conversion box for the 1955-1957 Chevy’s. This box is based on the new 600 series steering gear from Delphi. This box is a direct bolt-in application using the stock mounting location and Pitman arm. Use of a replacement column shaft, aftermarket column or modified stock column is required. This box uses an 8DD connection for the input shaft. A custom floor mount, which is required to support the column, is available with a polished or unpolished trim ring. If the car had factory power steering, the drag link must be replaced with one from a manual car or we offer a drag link adapter. All Mullins steering boxes have a 3-year warranty.

We offer a brand new Delphi 600 box. It is available with 3 ratios and has the same mounting pattern as a standard 1960-1990 GM box.

Our new Bronco Box is a 14:1 Ratio with approximately 3.5 turns lock to lock. The input shaft is a 11/16”-36 spline and the box uses 14mm and 16mm flare hose fittings. The box fits the stock factory pitman arm and ships with 4 bolts & washers The box bolts to the frame in stock location with 3 bolts and a 4th can be drilled and used for extra strength.
